Although the Castle now belongs to Kimbolton School, visitors can still see the impressive range of State Rooms, with an outstanding set of murals by Pellegrini. A small Heritage Room houses a display on the Castle's history. This British historic Castle is set in extensive, wooded grounds, with pleasant walks within rural Cambridgeshire. Kimbolton Castle is open to groups by arrangement throughout the year, including evenings, although access during Kimbolton School terms is restricted by School usage. During school holidays, requests for mid-week visits can usually be met. The Castle is also open to the general public on the dates listed below. Members of Kimbolton Local History Society are on hand as room stewards, and short tours of the exterior take place at regular intervals.
