Lower Prep Forest School

Pupils from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been enjoying their visits to Squirrel Wood this term, undertaking a huge variety of fun learning activities. Our youngest Reception pupils have explored the different pathways, talked about the trees, spied squirrels, looked at holes in the ground and discussed what might live in them, before sitting down to enjoy a story and a biscuit. 

Year 1 have explored doubles using conkers and worked together as a team to create a fire circle. Year 2 have made stick people and monsters out of twigs, leaves, dried grass and acorns - inspired by the book The Colour Monster. Most recently they worked as a team to create their very own Pudsey Bear out of autumn leaves, ahead of 'Children in Need' Day 2020.
