Before/After School and Holidays
We offer a range of options to extend the school day that provides added stimulus and interest for our pupils and flexibility and peace of mind for their busy parents.
Prep pupils may join Kim Club, our before and after school facility. This offers meals and a wide range of activities to the children in a 'home-from-home' atmosphere. It opens at 7.30am and closes at 6pm each day. Many of our parents make regular Kim Club bookings, while others use it on a more ad-hoc basis. The majority of our Prep School pupils attend Kim Club at some point during the school year.
Senior School pupils may join the boarders for breakfast or tea, again on either a regular or ad-hoc basis.
At both the Senior and Prep Schools, we provide supervised homework sessions and a wide range of activities for pupils to pursue. Beyond 6pm and by prior arrangement, Senior day pupils may stay in the boarding houses on either a regular or occasional basis (and subject to space being available).
In the first two full weeks of the Summer holiday we offer our Sports Weeks: sports-based, fun activity weeks for children aged from 8 to 13. Based at the Roger Peel Sports Centre at the Senior School, these are very popular with our pupils, many of whom attend both weeks.
During other holidays, including some half terms, our professional sports coaches often organise sports camps for 8 to 16 year olds which offer intensive training in a particular sport. These are always very well-attended. Also, our pool organises crash courses in swimming either on a group or one-to-one basis during the holidays.
