The Board of Governors has appointed Mr Will Chuter to succeed Mr Jonathan Belbin as Headmaster of Kimbolton School from September 2023.
The Board of Governors has appointed Mr Will Chuter to succeed Mr Jonathan Belbin as Headmaster of Kimbolton School from September 2023. Mr Belbin will be retiring this summer after 21 years of exceptional leadership and service to the School.
Mr Chuter is currently Head of Cranbrook School, Kent, having previously served as Deputy Head and Head of Classics at Gresham’s School, and a Housemaster at Uppingham School. He is a graduate of Durham University with a First Class Honours in Ancient History.
Mr Chuter impressed the Board with his experience and achievements to date, as well as his passion and commitment to the provision of education which not only challenges but nurtures each individual child. His understanding and enthusiasm for Kimbolton was clearly evident in every interaction with Governors, staff and pupils throughout the recruitment process.
His tenacity, drive and authenticity make him an ideal fit for Kimbolton, and we are confident that he will successfully build on Mr Belbin's significant legacy.
Mr Chuter writes, “I feel privileged to have been appointed as Kimbolton's next Headmaster and am grateful to have been given the opportunity to build on the superb work of Jonathan Belbin. Kimbolton is clearly a special place, and I have been bowled over by the warmth of pupils, staff and governors in my visits. My family and I cannot wait to move to Cambridgeshire to become part of that community next summer.”
We look forward to welcoming Will, his wife Hannah and their children to the Kimbolton community.
