Congratulations to the 48 pupils who won certificates in the UK Mathematics Trust 2021 Junior Mathematical Challenge. The First and Second Form pupils achieved an impressive 6 Gold, 18 Silver and 24 Bronze awards between them. Alex, Calvin, Joe, Will, Matthew and Sofia have all qualified for the next rounds of the competition, to be held online in June. 

The Challenge is a national 60-minute, multiple-choice competition aimed at pupils in Year 8 and below. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. The problems on the Junior Mathematical Challenge are designed to make students think; most are accessible, yet still challenge those with more experience.
